The Avalon Lions have made a $5,000 donation to Lighthouse Church to help with relieving the problems associated with addiction.
The church located on Route 9 in Cape May Courthouse runs its C.U.R.E Program offering counseling and outreach to people suffering from various addictions.
The Lions raise over $100,000 dollars each year to help support over a dozens charities in Cape May County, including The Helen L. Diller Vacation Home for Blind Children, Habitat for Humanity, CARA, CASA, Volunteers in Medicine, Holy Redeemer Food Pantry and Toys for Tots.
The Lions Club Foundation is a 501(c)3 tax exempt charity.
