COURT HOUSE — Abner W. Dowdell, assistant treasurer, John Molner, president, and Jay Corrigan, past president and chairman of the Charity Committee of Avalon Lions Club, presented Joanne Carrocino, president of Cape Regional Medical Center and Thomas J. Piratzky, executive director of the Cape Regional Foundation, with a $3,000 pledge payment towards their $9,000 gift.
“It gives us great pleasure to present this check in the amount of $3,000 to the Medical Center,” stated John Molner, in a release.
“We are proud of the great contribution Cape Regional Medical Center makes to our community, and the Avalon Lions Club thanks you for all you do,” Molner added.
Cape Regional recently completed a $2.2-million renovation of all medical and surgical patient rooms. The Foundation’s Capital Campaign Committee, headed by Jay Ford of Crest Savings Bank, has raised over $2.1 million.
“We appreciate the support of the Avalon Lions Club and the hard work they perform to raise funds to support local programs in our community”, stated Carrocino.
Lions Clubs of The Greater Wildwoods, Avalon and Stone Harbor together pledged $25,000 to the Capital Campaign.
Alan Gould, of The Greater Wildwoods Club, and Jay Corrigan, of the Avalon Lions Club, both members of the Capital Campaign Committee, spearheaded the joint contribution by the Lions Clubs.
