Avalon Lions Club Charity Treasurer Bruce Loversidge presents a check for $5

By Press Release

The Avalon Lions Club presented a $5,000 check to Family Promise of Cape May County during a golf tournament held at the Union League National Golf Club to help the organization find and place families in housing.
The tournament is the largest fundraiser of the year for Family Promise and is named after the late Bob Baxter, an Avalon Lion and board member who worked to better the lives of the needy throughout Cape May County.
Family Promise is one of more than a dozen Cape May County charities the Lions support, raising and donating more than $110,000 a year.
