COURT HOUSE — AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center recently welcomed Vijay Sandilya, MD, assistant professor, Department of Medical Oncology, Fox Chase Cancer Center, to its Medical Staff. He will be based out of AtlantiCare’s Cape May Court House Cancer Care Institute, a Fox Chase Cancer Center Partner, in Cape May Court House, New Jersey.
Sandilya, who joins ARMC’s Department of Medicine, Division of Hematology/Oncology, has a special interest in treating lymphoma and colon cancer patients. He is board certified in internal medicine, hematology, and medical oncology.

Before joining Fox Chase and AtlantiCare, Sandilya completed a clinical fellowship in medical oncology and hematology at the Drexel University College of Medicine, serving as chief fellow in his final year. In 2010, he supervised the opening of a new office of Cancer Care of Central Pennsylvania in Lock Haven, PA, building the practice from scratch to serve patients in Clinton County. Here he oversaw operations of the on-site infusion center, and served as the hematologist-oncologist for the facility. At Lock Haven Hospital, Sandilya worked as consultant hematologist-oncologist and as chairman of the Continuing Medical Education committee. He is an expert reviewer for scientific research journals following immunology, and for several oncology journals published by Dove Medical Press.
Sandilya earned his medical degree at University College of Medical Sciences, Delhi University, in Delhi, India and completed a residency in internal medicine at Hahnemann University Hospital at Drexel University College of Medicine in Philadelphia, PA.
He is a member of the American Society of Clinical Oncology and enjoys travel and music.
