AtlantiCare’s first New Year’s Baby from Cape May Court House

A baby boy was the first baby born in 2019 at AtlantiCare, a member of Geisinger. Jaxxon Zyair Pete Artis was born 3:52 p.m. January 1 at the Roger B. Hansen Center for Childbirth at AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center (ARMC) Mainland Campus, Pomona. He weighed 6 pounds, 7 ounces, and was 20 inches long.
Parents are Shannon and Bradford Artis, of Cape May Court House, NJ. Jaxxon joins his siblings Keith, 18; Destiny, 15; David, 11; and twins Andre and Donte, 3.
Susan Armitage, CNM,  nurse midwife, AtlantiCare Physician Group (APG) OB/GYN delivered the baby with the Center for Childbirth team. Danielle Pieri, D.O., obstetrician/gynecologist, APG OB/GYN, was attending physician. 
Melinda Henry, RN, and Erin Coulter, RN, ARMC Obstetrics nurses; and Armitage presented Artis and Jaxxon with a First Baby of 2019 gift basket on behalf of the ARMC Mainland Campus Auxiliary.
“Jackson” with spelling variations including Jaxon, was the third most popular name parents of baby boys born at AtlantiCare selected.
