Atlantic Cape Secures Grant for Nursing Scholarships

By Press Release

MAYS LANDING — Atlantic Cape Community College will award four new scholarships to nursing students through a $10,000 grant from the Walter & Louise Sutcliffe Foundation.
Each student will receive a $2,500 scholarship to be used during the 2015-16 academic year. The scholarships will go to second-year nursing students with financial need demonstrating good academic progress in the nursing program.
These scholarships will augment the $25,000 awarded each year through the college and the Atlantic Cape Foundation to nursing majors. Annually, the college awards more than $300,000 in scholarships to students.
Atlantic Cape offers an associate in applied science degree in nursing, which leads to licensing as a registered nurse. The college is adding an evening cohort to this highly competitive program, beginning this fall.
For more information on the nursing program, contact Glenda Stogel, health careers recruiter, at (609) 343-5048.
The Walter & Louise Sutcliffe Foundation was created in 1990 to provide grants for needy students attending nursing schools and as well as for use in cancer research. It is administered by Wells Fargo Wealth Management.
