MAYS LANDING — Atlantic Cape Community College will award four new scholarships to nursing students through a $10,000 grant from the Walter & Louise Sutcliffe Foundation.
Each student will receive a $2,500 scholarship to be used during the 2015-16 academic year. The scholarships will go to second-year nursing students with financial need demonstrating good academic progress in the nursing program.
These scholarships will augment the $25,000 awarded each year through the college and the Atlantic Cape Foundation to nursing majors. Annually, the college awards more than $300,000 in scholarships to students.
Atlantic Cape offers an associate in applied science degree in nursing, which leads to licensing as a registered nurse. The college is adding an evening cohort to this highly competitive program, beginning this fall.
