Atlantic Cape Offers Free Courses for Businesses and Nonprofits

COURT HOUSE – Atlantic Cape Community College will offer free Microsoft Office (2010) and social media courses for all New Jersey businesses and nonprofits at the Cape May Court House Campus in April and May. The free courses are made possible through grant funding from the New Jersey Department of Labor and Workforce Development in partnership with the New Jersey Council of County Colleges. Last year, New Jersey employers took advantage of more than $1 million worth of no-cost training for their employees.
Open enrollment classes have been scheduled at Atlantic Cape’s Cape May Court House Campus on the following dates:
• Excel, Level I: April 3, 9 a.m.-5 p.m.
• Excel, Level II: April 10, 9 a.m.-5 p.m.
• Word, Level I: April 17, 9 a.m.-5 p.m.
• Word, Level II: April 24, 9 a.m.-5 p.m.
Employees can also take Social Media Fundamentals April 25, 9 a.m.-1 p.m. This class will teach employees which social media tool is most important based on personal and professional goals.
The class Social Media and Marketing, May 2, 9 a.m.-1 p.m., will examine how social media platforms impact business and investigate strategies to grow your client base.
The classes are free to all private-sector and nonprofit employers in the state. Atlantic Cape’s Cape May Court House Campus is located at 341 Court House-South Dennis Road, Cape May Court House.
