COURT HOUSE – The Academy of Culinary Arts will hold an open house for those interested in learning more about the Culinary Arts Training Program offered through Atlantic Cape Community College’s Continuing Education Division.
The open house will feature a meet and greet with ACA representatives, information about the program and a tour of the kitchen.
ACA’s Culinary Arts Training Program offers hands-on courses that focus on the mastery of cooking principles and practical techniques for those interested in enhancing their culinary prowess. Topics and skills taught in this fast-paced, five-month program cover the many areas of the professional kitchen, including:
• ServSafe Certification
• Master cooking techniques, short order and pantry skills
• Bread baking, pie making, cake decorating and plated desserts
• Stocks, soups and sauces
• Time management and organizational skills
Restaurateurs can sponsor a promising employee with a scholarship for the program, or interested students can apply through their county One-Stop Career Center for financial assistance.
