Anthony Lardani Honored as Cape Regional Medical Center’s Third Quarter 2018 Difference Maker Volunteer

CAPE MAY COURT HOUSE – Anthony Lardani has been named Cape Regional Medical Center’s “Difference Maker Volunteer” for the third quarter of 2018. His award nominators, staff and fellow volunteers recognized Anthony for exemplifying the Medical Center’s Service Standards of being positive, engaged and proactive.
Since joining the Cape Regional Volunteer Team in February, 2013, Anthony has contributed more than 1,600 service hours as an Errand Volunteer, Golf Cart Volunteer and, most recently, as a Desk Ambassador twice a week. “Anthony is well respected by both his peers and staff as having a positive attitude and being a genuine team player,” stated Julie Paolella, Director of Volunteer Services.  When asked what motivates him to volunteer, Anthony offers, “I love to bring ease to our visitors and patients when they arrive at the Medical Center.  Offering them help and comfort is very fulfilling.”
Anthony’s career before retirement included working as a contractor and union electrical worker.  Since retirement, Anthony has enjoyed time with family and spending part of the winter at his Florida home.  Anthony and his wife, Janice, are Cape May residents and proud parents of two children, Gina and Cindy as well as grandparents to two granddaughters and a grandson.
During the award presentation, Thomas J. Piratzky, Foundation Executive Director, and Julie Paolella, Director of Volunteer Services, joined with the award winner’s fellow volunteers, staff members andfamily in honoring him with the Difference Maker Volunteer Award.  Anthony was presented with a boutonniere, Difference Maker Volunteer of the Quarter pin, gift card and commemorative plaque.
