Ann Fulginiti Honored as Cape Regional’s Difference Maker Volunteer for the Third Quarter

CAPE MAY COURT HOUSE – Ann Fulginiti has been named Cape Regional Health System’s Difference Maker Volunteer for the third quarter of 2017. Her award nominators, staff and fellow volunteers recognized Ann for exemplifying the Health System’s Service Standards of being positive, engaged and proactive.
Since beginning her volunteer service in January 2007, Ann has contributed more than 10,000 hours of vital service. Ann’s assignments have varied as a Pharmacy Volunteer, EtCetera Shop Volunteer and Knitting Volunteer; she is also cross-trained as a Golf Cart Volunteer and Silver Spoon (Patient Feeder) Volunteer. “Ann’s boundless energy and positive attitude, combined with her experience in an array of volunteer areas, make her service truly priceless,” stated Julie Paolella, Director of Volunteer Services. When asked what volunteering means to her, Ann offers, “It’s a way to give back. I have had such a blessed life and volunteering is a way for me to give back.”
Ann enjoyed a long career, first as a nurse working in both a school and hospital, then with her husband at his financial planning business before retiring in 2014. Ann and husband, Vince, live in Cape May Court House. In her spare time, Ann enjoys spending time with family, knitting, crocheting and traveling the globe. She and her husband have traveled to six of the seven continents and made a total of 19 trips in 16 years. Ann is very active in her church and sings in the choir.
During the award presentation, Thomas Piratzky, Executive Director, Cape Regional Foundation and Julie Paolella, Director of Volunteer Services, joined with the award winner’s fellow volunteers and team members in honoring her with the Difference Maker Volunteer Award. Ann was presented with flowers, Difference Maker Volunteer of the Quarter pin, gift card and commemorative plaque.
