American Cancer Society’s Relay for Life of Middle Township Announces Honorary Co-Chairs for 2015

COURT HOUSE – Cape Regional Health System and the American Cancer Society’s (ACS) Relay for Life of Middle Township are pleased to announce that Joanne Carrocino, FACHE, President and CEO of Cape Regional Medical Center and Joyce Gould, Cape Regional Foundation Board Member and cancer survivor, have been appointed Honorary Co-Chairs of this year’s event that will be held on Saturday, June 6 and Sunday, June 7 at Middle Township High School.
“The American Cancer Society’s Relay for Life is a global event that celebrates cancer survivors, honors loved ones lost, and mobilizes communities across the world to take action against cancer,” stated Joyce Gould, Honorary Co-Chairman, Middle Township Relay for Life. “As a cancer survivor, I am proud to support the 2015 Relay for Life of Middle Township.”
“The funds raised by the Middle Township Relay for Life will support groundbreaking cancer research, education and prevention efforts as well as provide free information and critical services for cancer patients who need them,” added Joanne Carrocino, Honorary Co-Chairman, Middle Township Relay for Life.
The weekend event kicks off with the Annual National Cancer Survivors’ Day dinner on Saturday, June 6 at 4:30 p.m. at the Middle Township High School cafeteria. This annual event is held to celebrate cancer survivors and their families of Cape May County. The dinner is free and reservations are required. To make a reservation, please call Theresa Netz, RN, ONC, Director of Radiation Oncology at Cape Regional’s Brodesser Cancer Center, at 609-463-2298.
After the Survivors’ Dinner the Relay for Life will begin with the Survivors’ Medallion Ceremony and Survivor s’ Lap at 6:00 pm; the Relay will immediately follow.
