EGG HARBOR TOWNSHIP – According to a report by the Press of Atlantic City, Air Tran will discontinue flight operations at Atlantic City International Airport in January 2012. Subsidies, which have helped underwrite Air Tran’s flight operations since 2009, expire in September 2011, leaving the airline with insufficient operating income to support ongoing service.
