COURT HOUSE — ACME Markets was built upon the foundation of giving back to the communities we serve. In light of the Oct. 2 government shutdown, a number of military commissaries and post exchanges (PX’s) throughout the country are temporarily closed, impacting military personnel and their families. ACME is prepared to help.
Starting Oct. 6 through Oct. 10, all ACME stores will be hosting Military Discount Days. Families presenting a valid military identification card at the time of check-out will receive a 10 percent discount on their grocery bill.
“ACME wants to support our military families,” emphasized Jim Perkins, president of ACME. “This is our way of thanking our active duty and reserve service men and women for the sacrifices they and their families make every day in serving our country.”
Certain items are excluded from this offer including prescription products, alcohol, tobacco, money orders, postage stamps, lottery tickets, wire transfer services, gift cards, phone cards, fuel, convenience store purchases, or items prohibited by law.
For more information regarding the ACME 10 percent Military Discount Days (Oct. 6-10) program, contact your local ACME store director.
