MAYS LANDING —Atlantic Cape Community College captured a silver in the 2009 Paragon Awards at the National Council for Marketing and Public Relations Conference in Albuquerque, N.M.
The award recognized the “What’s Cooking” television segment on NBC-40, which featured Academy of Culinary Arts chefs.
Geoffrey Pettifer, director of marketing, of Galloway, developed the cooking segments and accepted the award. The Jersey Shore Public Relations and Advertising Association recognized “What’s Cooking” with a gold award in the “Television/Video/TV Special Programming” category. The cooking segment also won a silver award from the Higher Education Marketing Report.
Atlantic Cape received seven Medallion Awards at the NCMPR District I Conference in Atlantic City. The awards include: gold for Notes, Cards, Invitations; Public-Community Relations Project, Media Success Story and Electronic Media Presentation; silver for Print Advertisement Series; and bronze for Print Advertisement Single and Color Photograph.
In addition, JSPRAA awarded Atlantic Cape with a silver for Special Event Planning/Special Event Series.
Award-winning College Relations staff members include: Mike Capen of Bellmawr, Stacey Clapp of Mays Landing, Kathy Corbalis of Glassboro, Joe D’Agostino of Linwood and Geoffrey Pettifer of Galloway.
