More than $550,000 raised to-date for Cape Island Communities
CAPE MAY — The 3rd annual Ice Ball held at Congress Hall Saturday night to benefit the Fund for Cape May was once again a magical and successful event. The Ballroom and Grand Lawn were transformed into an enchanted world of shimmering ice sculptures for the philanthropic celebration.
Hosted annually by Congress Hall, The Ice Ball raises private funds for public projects to support South Jersey’s Cape Island communities. Curtis Bashaw, Managing Partner of Cape Resorts, owner of the historic landmark hotel, established The Fund in 2014 to promote beautification and preservation while encouraging area youth to become active citizens.
This year’s Ice Ball celebrated the completion of The Fund’s first project, Cape May’s Rotary Park, which reopened last summer. To date, the fund has raised more than $550,000.
