Would you think that your old shoes could assist in building homes and provide food, clothing and free wheelchairs for those in need? Also, would you think that your gently used shoes would provide opportunities for individuals from a third world country to become shoe entrepreneurs?
They can, and here’s how.
Our team is participating in the fundraiser Shoes2Org, where there is nothing to buy or sell. All we need is your support and your old shoes.
If we collect 2500 pairs of shoes in the next seven weeks, we will earn $1,000 toward our missionary work in Guatemala. The shoe drives ends Feb. 20.
Want to help? Start in your family’s closets, and gather pairs of shoes that you’ve outgrown or that are out of style or season. Please ask your neighbors and/or co-workers to do the same.
These shoes will help support our program, as well as the individuals in developing nations like Ghana, Haiti and Bolivia.
