WLDWOOD — Some of the country’s rarest automobiles will make an appearance on the award-winning Wildwoods Boardwalk during the 18th Annual East Coast Boardwalk National Car Show Thursday, tomorrow through Saturday.
The three-day auto event will feature hundreds of cars of all makes and models including custom cars, imports, tuners, trucks, classics, street rods and modifieds.
The East Coast Boardwalk National Car Show will kick-off on tomorrow from 6-8:30 p.m. with a “Street Hop” at Sweet Briar and Ocean Avenues in Wildwood Crest. The “Street Hop” will feature a festival with a DJ, food and trophies for that night’s top cars.
Trophies will be given in the following categories: Best Original, Best Rod, Best of Show Plaques: Best Engine, Best Interior, and Best Paint. Judging will start at 7:30 p.m. and awards will be announced 8:30 p.m.
On Friday, and Saturday, cars will be displayed on the world-famous Wildwoods Boardwalk from 8 a.m.-3 p.m. At 3 p.m. on Friday and Saturday, cars will parade north on the Wildwoods Boardwalk and cruise down Atlantic Avenue into Wildwood Crest to showcase their cars.
A “Winner’s Circle” display for the weekend’s top cars will take place on Saturday, from 6-8 p.m. in front of the Wildwoods Convention Center. “Best of Show” will be chosen during the “Winner’s Circle” event.
Awards will be presented during the Saturday Night Award Ceremony. Awards will be given to the top automobile in each of the following categories: Top 40, Ladies Choice, Best Engine, Best Paint, Best of Show, High/Low Competition, Most Likely to Get Pulled Over, Club Participation Award, Lowest Car and Top Gun.
