Board of Education Petition Forms Available

COURT HOUSE – Nominating petition forms and school board candidate information are now available from the County Clerk’s Office. “All seventeen local boards of education in Cape May County have notified the County Clerk that their annual school elections will be held this Nov. 6 instead of in April as permitted by Public Law 2011, c. 202 signed into law on Jan. 17.” County Clerk Rita Marie Fulginiti said.
The deadline for filing nominating petitions for candidates for local boards of education is Tue., June 5 before 4:00 p.m. at the County Clerk’s Office. “School board candidates are encouraged to file their petitions as early as possible,” Fulginiti said.
Petition forms, instructions and school board candidate information are posted to the Cape May County Clerk webpage at this link: www.capemaycountygov.net/Cit-e-Access/webpage.cfm?TID=5&TPID=12688
Candidates may also obtain forms and information in person at the County Clerk’s Office located at 7 N. Main Street in Cape May Court House during the hours of Monday through Fri., 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. or by calling 465-1013.
