Beach Cleaning Rescheduled

By Press Release

SEA ISLE CITY – Individuals, families, civic originations, scout troops, and other eco-minded volunteers are needed for the Sea Isle City Environmental Commission’s 2017 Spring Beach Clean-Up April 29, 10 a.m. to noon.
This event was originally scheduled for April 22; however, it was postponed until April 29 because of rain.
Pre-registration is not required; volunteers can sign-up on the morning of the event at the Environmental Commission table on JFK Boulevard at the Promenade, where organizers will distribute gloves and other supplies.
During the clean-up, volunteers will gather trash and debris from the city’s entire shoreline. While cleaning the beaches and dunes, participants will document collected items.  That data will be sent to Clean Ocean Action, of Highlands, where it will be compiled with similar information from other shore communities to identify possible pollution issues.
