CAPE MAY AIRPORT — The Board of Directors at Naval Air Station (NAS) Wildwood Aviation Museum has named Bob Olivieri, Jane Kotz and Jim and Diane Morton as outstanding Volunteers of the quarter. The Aviation Museum is proud to honor these outstanding citizens for their dedicated service.
Originally from Philadelphia, Mr. Olivieri is a World War II veteran with a passion for all things military. After serving in WWII, he was self-employed until his retirement and has lived in Cape May for 28 years. He has been a wonderful summer museum greeter (always smiling) and has helped NASW with every event in the 2013 season. Ms. Kotz is formerly from Philadelphia, where she worked as an office manager for many years. She has lived in Cape May for 38 years and has been a volunteer at NASW for many years. Whether it’s answering the phone, greeting guests at the museum entrance or whatever she is asked to do, Jane is the ultimate volunteer, always eager to help.
Mr. and Mrs. Morton have a couple of connections to Cape May County Airport. Jim was a captain for Southern Jersey Airways (SJA). The maintenance hangar for the airline is now occupied by Pen Turbo Aviation. He flew De Havilland Twin Otters and Dash-7’s from the ’70s until 1989 when SJA went out of business and he was hired by the Federal Aviation Administration. They have volunteered for NASW since Jim retired in 2006 from the FAA as a flight inspection pilot. Diane retired this past March from Crest Savings Bank. Married 38 years, they are having fun in this new stage of their lives!
Thank you to Bob Olivieri, Jane Kotz and Jim and Diane Morton for your service to our community.
