AVALON – The Borough of Avalon and American Legion Post #331 (Avalon/Stone Harbor) will be hosting a special Veterans Day ceremony on Nov. 11, at 11:00 a.m. The ceremony will be held at Avalon’s Veterans Plaza located at 21st Street and Dune Drive in Avalon.
The ceremony will be hosted by Harry Clayton, Commander of American Legion Post #331 and include comments from Avalon Mayor Martin Pagliughi. The ceremony will also feature wreath presentations, patriotic music, a flag raising ceremony, a rifle salute, and the playing of “Taps”.
American Legion Post #331 will also hold an open house at 12:30 p.m. at the Stephen C. Ludlam Post #331 located at 117th Street and Second Avenue in Stone Harbor.
