AVALON — Avalon and Stone Harbor Elementary Schools were proud to be a part of the Run for the Fallen race last Thurs., Sept. 22 at the Veterans Plaza in Avalon. The race started in Cape May Point and ended in Ocean City. The students and staff wore their patriotic colors and carried American flags, while cheering on the runners as they approached the post.
Following the mini ceremonies, which honored LCpl Jeffery S. Stevenson and CPT Gregory T Delessio, the students sang God Bless America as the runners lined up to continue on their run. The schools look forward to supporting this incredible cause again next year.
