AVALON — Avalon Lions Charities raised over $8,000 from their Annual “Pasta Night” fundraiser held at the Windrift Hotel and Resort located in Avalon, NJ. This year’s event was the most successful ever, serving over 500 dinners and desserts. The ALC Pasta Night Dinner has evolved into an event that now features maître d’ service accompanied by violin serenades, soothing piano melodies and amazing operatic arias! New this year was an Ice Cream bar, expanded auctions and complimentary designer cookies.
Most of the costs were covered by the generous donations of area businesses and individuals. These funds will be used throughout the year to support charities located in Cape May County. Last year the Avalon Lions Charities donated over $58,000 to local charitable organizations.
Avalon Lions Charities is made up of civic-minded men and women of Avalon and local communities bound together under Lions Clubs International “To Serve”, and meet community needs.
