Avalon Library Offers Computer Classes

AVALON – The Avalon Free Public Library be holding free computer classes on both PC and Mac platforms.
See below for schedules for September.
PC Computer Classes with Greg Foote
Thursdays from 6 to 8 p.m.
Saturdays from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.
REGISTRATION IS REQUIRED
Avalon property owners may register 30 days prior to each class.
All others may register 2 weeks prior to each class.
Computer Clinic: bring your problems/questions to Greg and he will show you how to work through them with essential
PC troubleshooting techniques
Thu., Sept. 8- Introduction to Microsoft Office: Word
Thu., Sept. 15- Introduction to Microsoft Office: Excel
Thu., Sept. 22- Introduction to Microsoft Office: Powerpoint
Thu., Sept. 29- Introduction to Microsoft Office: Publisher
Saturdays from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Sat., Sept. 17- Beginning Computer- mouse, keyboard, files, basic keyboard
Sat., Sept. 24- Beginning Computer- Intro to the Internet
MAC Computer Classes with Harry Keyser
Wednesdays from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m.
REGISTRATION IS REQUIRED

Basic Beginner’s Class
Wednesdays from 4:30 to 5:30pm
Basic computer skills explained for the novice; all questions answered, all problems solved.
Wed., Sept. 7- Introduction to the Apple Computer “Getting to Know Your Mac Desktop”. Learn about navigating the desktop and the dock. Explore using the calendar and the address book.
Wed., Sept. 14- Introduction to the Apple Computer “Getting to Know Your Mac Desktop”. Learn about navigating the desktop and the dock. Explore how email, the address book, and the calendar work together.
Wed., Sept. 21- Introduction to the Apple Computer “Getting to Know Safari & The Internet”. Learn about navigating through the World Wide Web and how easy the Apple Computer makes it.
Wed., Sept. 28- Introduction to the Apple Computer ” Getting to Know Safari & The Internet”. We’ll continue navigating through the World Wide Web and how easy the Apple Computer makes it.
