AVALON – The Avalon Historical Society will debut a new exhibit in time to coincide with their 13th Annual Photography Contest. The exhibit will feature a variety of vintage cameras from the early 1900’s, and take the viewer on a tour of how cameras have changed through the decades, including Kodak, Eastman, Century, Argus and Polaroid. The exhibit will be on display through the months of May and June.
Amateur photographers be sure to submit your photos (physical photo) to Historical Society no later than 2 p.m. May 31, to be considered for judging. Categories for 2016 include : Avalon, Nature, Scenic and People. Children ages 12 and under may also submit entries in their own designated category. And finally, the Historical Society is pursuing vintage Avalon photos that will be displayed along with the entries and camera exhibit.
