Ashes to Go Held in Villas

VILLAS — The Rev. Lisa Hoffman administered “Ashes-To-Go” at The St. Barnabas Cares Thrift Store on Bayshore Road, Villas. This Ash Wednesday ministry, encouraged by the Episcopal Diocese of New Jersey, offered blessed ashes to those unable to make it to an Ash Wednesday service.
One woman noted, “I’m so glad you are here; I did not know how I was going to get my ashes today.”
St. Barnabas by the Bay Episcopal Church is located at 13 W. Bates Ave., Villas.
