AMI Foundation Announces Mobile Mammography Van Schedule

CAPE MAY — The AMI Foundation’s Dr. Jan Astin Mobile Digital Mammography Van will visit 11 locations in four New Jersey counties in April. The April 2017 schedule is as follows:
Atlantic County:
April 4 – Seashore Gardens, Galloway
April 6 – William L. Gormley AtlantiCare Healthplex, Atlantic City
April 7 – Ventnor Public Library, Ventnor
April 11 – Atlantic County Division of Public Health, Northfield
April 13 – ShopRite, Hammonton
April 24 – Golden Heart, Somers Point
April 26 – Southern Jersey Family Medicine, Hammonton
April 27 – Southern Jersey Family Medicine, Atlantic City
Cape May County:
April 3 – Volunteers in Medicine, Cape May
Cumberland County:
April 28 – Glory Tabernacle Church, Bridgeton
Ocean County:
April 10 – Paramount Escapes Ocean Breeze, Manahawkin
Appointments are encouraged, but walk-ins are welcome. A prescription is not needed. Please call the scheduling department at 609-677-XRAY (9729) to make an appointment and to confirm hours of operation for specific locations.
The screenings are free for uninsured women 40+ with no current or past breast issues. Screenings for insured women are processed through their insurance.
The AMI Foundation’s Dr. Jan Astin Mobile Digital Mammography Van travels throughout southeastern New Jersey to make breast cancer screening easier and more convenient. The custom-built, 38-foot van is completely self-contained. In addition to offering the latest digital mammography equipment, the van provides a comfortable waiting area and a private dressing room.
The mobile van’s radiology services are accredited by the American College of Radiology and the U.S. Food and Drug Administration. Mammography images are read by board-certified fellowship trained radiologists at Atlantic Medical Imaging.
