COURT HOUSE — The results of the DAR’s 2014-2015 American History Essay Contest are in! Local students who placed 1st through 3rd place with the chapter are as follows:
Grade 5: Diamond Weber, Eva Collins, and Jakob Pender; all from West Cape May Elementary
Grade 6: Destiny Schreader, Kate Von Savage, Chloe Lawler; all West Cape May Elementary
Grade 7: no entries
Grade 8: Avery White, Richard M Teitlemann School
New Jersey State DAR has not yet announced the results of the state wide contest.
The Awards Meeting will be held at the Lower Township Public Library in Villas, located near Ace Hardware, on April 18 from 10 a.m. to noon, in the Milleman Room at the back of the library.
The presentation will be “Civil War Medicine on the Home Front: the US Sanitary Commission.”
