By Press Release

SEA ISLE CITY — Irish eyes were smiling on March 13, when AARP Chapter 710 hosted their annual Saint Patrick’s Day Luncheon at The Lobster Loft Restaurant in Sea Isle City. The event brought together 63 members, who enjoyed lunch, socializing and toasting the group’s annual “Wearing of the Green” competition, which spotlights luncheon-goers donned in their finest green clothes and Irish accessories.
The winners of this year’s Wearing of the Green contest were: Most Irish Lady Betty Modern, Most Irish Man Frank Roach and Most Irish Couple Jane and Joe Robinson. The four were chosen by ballot during the event, and each received a free voucher to AAPR Chapter 710’s next luncheon in June.
In addition to hosting holiday luncheons and holding regular meetings on the second Thurs. of the month at 1:00 p.m. inside the Sea Isle City Community Lodge, 300 JFK Boulevard, the members of AARP Chapter 710 also sponsor other enjoyable activities, such as Bingo events, bus trips and more. Additionally, they support charitable efforts and volunteer in the community during fund-raisers and other civic functions.
