A Welcome from the President of Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey

By

To New Jersey 4-H Members, Families, and Guests:
Welcome to the 2016 Cape May County 4-H Fair!
Each year, this county fair showcases the excellence of the 4-H program, which does so much to foster good health habits, encourage scientific inquiry and lifelong learning, and promote good citizenship and public service. As Rutgers University marks its 250th anniversary, we are proud to be the home of New Jersey 4-H, such a worthwhile Garden State tradition.
I applaud all the dedicated 4-H volunteers in Cape May County and across New Jersey, as well as the faculty and staff of the New Jersey Agricultural Experiment Station and Rutgers Cooperative Extension, for the work they do to ensure the continuing success of 4-H. The families of our talented 4-H members also have my admiration for their support of this extraordinary and richly rewarding program.
I wish you a delightful experience at this year’s fair. Congratulations to all who have contributed to its success, and to all the Rutgers people at the fair, happy 250th anniversary!
Sincerely,
Robert L. Barchi
President, Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey
