COURT HOUSE – The Cape May County 4-H Youth Development Program invites adults interested in working with youth in our county to attend an orientation session for new volunteers on Aug. 20, 2013, from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. The training will take place at the Rutgers Cooperative Extension office, 355 Court House – S. Dennis Rd., in Cape May Court House.
This is a perfect opportunity for 4-H alumni, young graduates looking for work experience, parents looking for quality activities for their children and those who are retired to learn how they can connect and share with the youth of our county.
To be a 4-H volunteer is to connect with kids and to share your talents and knowledge, to network with other adults with similar interests, to build career experience and to choose a flexible schedule that fits your lifestyle.
To be a 4-H volunteer is to share experiences that they (and you) will never forget, to bring smiles to young faces, to give back in a meaningful way, to make a difference in your community and to share a spirit of generosity with others.
4-H volunteer opportunities are varied to suit your interests and the time commitment is flexible. Call 465-5115 x 605, or email mlfrandino@co.cape-may.nj.us to get more information about the orientation and to preregister.
The 4-H Youth Development Program is part of the New Jersey Agricultural Experiment Station and Rutgers Cooperative Extension. 4-H educational programs are offered to all youth, grades K-13, on an age-appropriate basis, without regard to race, religion, color, national origin, gender, sexual orientation, or disability.
