Seniors:
Samantha Rose Downes – Samantha is a member of the Needle & Thread 4-H club and the Teen Ambassadors 4-H club. She just graduated from Lower Cape Regional High School and has been a member of the 4-H Youth Development Program for five years. Samantha has held a number of leadership positions in both 4-H and in school and continually gives back to the community through her many community service projects. Samantha said, “ 4-H has allowed me to challenge myself in a safe environment and I enjoy working with the younger members of my clubs. I am proud to be a 4-Her and to be a member of an organization that has and will continue to pave the way for bright futures.”
Mina LaFrance – Mina is a member of the Star Hollow Riders 4-H club. She just completed 11th grade at Middle Township High School and has been a member of the 4-H Youth Development Program for 11 years. Mina said, “I began my 4-H journey in 2008 as a Cloverbud, and I never could have imagined how being a part of the 4-H organization could change my life in so many ways. I have developed many skills over the last 11 years, from responsibility, to the importance of kindness and consideration. I have learned how to be a leader, role model, and a helping hand to society, and my local community.”
Junior:
Autumn Richards – Autumn is a member of Scales and Tails, Science Rocks, Tightlines, and Needle and Thread 4-H clubs. She just completed 6th grade and has been a member of the 4-H Youth Development Program for five years. Autumn said, “To me, 4-H is meant to teach you how to make the world a better place. It’s almost like a boot camp for the real world. They teach you the basics on how to change the world, like running a business meeting, public speaking, finding your place in a team, accepting people’s differences, and working towards something bigger than yourself.”
