13th Annual AtlantiCare/Rothman Tri the Wildwoods Triathlon

NORTH WILDWOOD – On Sat., Aug. 27, 1500 athletes tested their resilience in the 13th Annual Tri the Wildwoods Triathlon, 5k and Kids’ Race presented by AtlantiCare and Rothman Institute to Benefit the Lunch with Lynch Foundation. The participants began the race at 6:30 a.m. with the swim portion of the event at 15th Avenue. The Sprint Triathlon consisted of a .25 mile swim, 10 mile bike, and 3.1 mile (5k) run. There was also an international race consisting of a .6 mile swim, 18.5 mile bike, and 5 mile run. The Morey’s Piers Kids Splash & Dash consisted of a “little kids” 100 meter splash, 500 meter run and a “big kids” 200 meter swim and 1500 meter run.

Top Male: Joe Donahue, 51 from Point Pleasant, NJ 1:36:58
Top Female: Rebecca Hayes, 34 from Lancaster, PA 1:49:29
Sprint:
Top Male: Brian Duffy, 28 from Avalon, NJ :54.15.3
Top Female: Kristen Donohue, 49 from Cape May Court House, NJ 1:05:54
Lunch with Lynch 5k:
Top Male: William Summers, 18, :19:56.8
Top Female: Tryscia Hroux-Pinsonnault, 15 from Trois-Rivieres, Quebec :23:36.7
