CICCARONE, MARILYN. A. Marilyn A. Meehan Ciccarone, 76 of Cape May Court House, NJ passed March 11, 2024. She was born in Philadelphia, PA to the late Edward and Adelaide Ward Meehan. Marilyn was a born peacemaker. Her strong desire for world peace inspired her to form The Jersey Cape Coalition for Nuclear Disarmament. Marilyn was a founding member of the Cape May County Habitat for Humanity. She also worked alongside parishioners from Our Lady of the Angels church to help build a sustainable village, Cape May County Village in Bord de Mare, Haiti. Marylin was deeply devoted to her faith. She proudly studied and became an Associate of the Sisters of Mercy. Marilyn attended nursing school at Lankenau Hospital and had a long career as a nurse. During her career she touched many lives with her compassion and care. Towards the end of her nursing career, Marilyn took on a role as a private duty nurse for Mattie Adelizzi. He and his family will forever hold a special place in her heart. Marilyn was a gifted artist. She saw the world with a unique eye. She was a talented muralist and enjoyed creating various forms of art that were showcased throughout Cape May County. Marilyn had a lifelong love of the beach. She met her late husband, Andrew Ciccarone Jr. while vacationing in Avalon. NJ. Together they were parents to: Kira Ciccarone, (Chris Rafter), Lisa Ciccarone, Andrew Ciccarone, and Mary Filachek, (Joe). She was a wonderful grandmother to: Christian, Mia, Lucas, Sophia, Shane, Blaise and Asher. She is survived by her siblings: Adelaide Farnsworth, (Paul), Edward Meehan, (Coleen) and Michelle Littlewood, (Dave). Marilyn is also survived by her in-laws, Linda and Mike Riccio, Michael Ciccarone, and Tom and Marybeth Ciccarone, as well as many nieces and nephews. Marilyn truly made the world a better place. She will be loved and missed by all who knew her. Services will be Friday, March 15, 2024 at Our Lady of The Angels Church, 35 East Mechanic Street, Cape May Court House, NJ 08210.
