CAPE MAY – Cape May City will continue to provide municipal court services for Cape May Point under an updated shared services agreement approved by the Cape May City Council.

The initial year payment by Cape May Point will be $15,540. The agreement includes provision for annual adjustment of the payment based on the previous year’s consumer price index.

In addition, Cape May Point is to pay to the city 25% of all revenue Cape May Point receives from Cape May Municipal Court matters, including fines, costs and other fees.

The agreement began on March 1 and continues until Dec. 31, 2025.

Cape May City provides a number of services to the other municipalities of Cape Island, the most visible of which are police services provided to both Cape May Point and West Cape May.
