BOVE, MARY LOUISE

BOVE, MARY LOUISE Mary Louise Bove (nee Curtis), 89, of Wildwood Crest, passed away peacefully surrounded by her beloved family on April 30, 2024. Loving wife of Anthony Bove for 67 years. Dear mother of Anthony Bove (Beverly), Debra Greenling (Bill), Michele Creamer (Jesse), Theresa Enteado (Keith), Gina Hufty (Matt) and Maryann Bove-Drake. Adoring grand-mother of Nicole, Michael, Amanda, Vincent, Dominic, Mackenzie, Abbey, Hannah, Luke and Harper and great-grandmother of Isabella, Dahlia and Arlie. Mary is preceded in death by her mother, Anna Aicher, father George Curtis and brother George Curtis. She is also survived by her sister, Anne Wilkinson as well as numerous other family members and dozens of friends that considered her a second mother. Mary was born in Philadelphia and met and married Anthony on February 16, 1957. She always wanted a large family and her favorite role was that of mother. Mary loved her family beyond measure and dedicated her life to being a wonderful wife, mother and grandmother. In 1975, Anthony and Mary moved from Philadelphia to Wildwood Crest. She loved her home and enjoyed sitting on her porch and greeting every neighbor and dog that walked by. In her younger years, she loved to spend her days at the beach and swimming in the ocean. Mary loved spending her winters in Florida. She was a fabulous cook and loved to feed and comfort all. She was a waitress for many years and loved to meet new people. She always had a welcoming smile and open arms for anyone in need. She was a strong, selfless woman and matriarch of her family. She put everyone's needs above her own and instilled, in her children, a love of family above all else. Her legacy of love will live on forever in the hearts of her husband, children and grandchildren. Relatives and friends are invited to her visitation on Monday, May 13th from 10:00 – 11:00 AM at Notre Dame De La Mer Parish / Assumption Church, 7100 Seaview Ave., Wildwood Crest, NJ 08260. Memorial Mass will follow at 11:00 AM. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made in Mary's memory to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105 or at www.stjude.org. Arrangements are under the direction of the Bell-Hennessy Funeral Home, Williamstown, NJ. www.bell-hennessy.com
