The Brodesser and Gomez family, long-time supporters of Cooper University Hospital Cape Regional, presented a $10,000 donation to the hospital following another year of successful fundraising. This contribution is a testament to their continued commitment to supporting Cape May County’s community hospital.

For over 40 years, the Brodesser and Gomez family have been dedicated to supporting the highest-quality health care in Cape May County, with more than $5 million in donations to the hospital’s cancer and surgery centers. The family’s philanthropic efforts stem from a deeply rooted desire to make health care more accessible in their community.

“We cannot thank the Brodesser/Gomez family enough for their unwavering support of our hospital over the years, and we are especially appreciative of this generous contribution,” stated Sofia Lomax, MBA, Individual Gifts Officer, Cooper Foundation. “The spirit of the family’s generational generosity and their dedication to giving back to our community is truly special and reflects the strength of our close-knit community.”

“My late grandfather, Thomas Brodesser, Jr., wanted to reduce the need for long trips to receive treatment,” said Mary Gomez, reflecting on the family’s legacy of giving. “That’s why he was such a large supporter of the cancer and surgery centers, and we’re proud to continue his work today.”

Mark Gomez added, “Our parents worked alongside our grandfather on these efforts, and since his passing, they’ve carried on his legacy.” Gomez explained that as he and Mary step into more responsibility in the family business, they are excited to have more hands-on experience with giving back.

“We are deeply grateful to Beachcomber Camping Resort and the Gomez family for their generous $10,000 donation and their unwavering dedication to exceptional health care in Cape May County,” stated Joanne Carrocino, CEO, Cooper University Hospital Cape Regional. “Their decades-long partnership has been both an inspiration and a driving force in expanding both cancer and surgical services for our community. Thanks to their generosity, more patients can receive the compassionate, high-quality care they need, close to home.”
