Babies Show Up in Record Numbers for the Wildwoods’ Baby Waddle Contest

The area’s finest crawlers and waddlers – ages 24 months and younger – turned out in record numbers during the Wildwoods Love Waddlers Baby Waddle Contest July 30.

Press Release from Greater Wildwoods Tourism Improvement and Development Authority

The 2024 annual Wildwoods Loves Waddlers Baby Waddle Contest on July 30 was the most competitive yet, as a record number of waddlers and crawlers – 24 months and younger – showed up to show off their crawling and waddling skills.

Waddle Winner Harrison Giannantonio, 21 months, from Glassboro NJ; and Crawl Winner Evelyn Callahan, 1 year, from Columbus NJ.

The event had two categories – The Crawl and The Waddle. Participants were placed in the center of a colorful, 45-foot-diameter circle and encouraged by their parents to crawl or waddle to the edge. The first in each category to crawl or waddle outside of the circle was declared the winner and received a family of four pack to Morey’s Amusement Piers and Water Parks.

The winners were Waddle Winner Harrison Giannantonio, 21 months, from Glassboro NJ; and Crawl Winner Evelyn Callahan, 1 year, from Columbus NJ.

This annual tradition serves a fun prequel event to the annual Wildwoods Baby Parade taking place on Wednesday, July 31 along the Wildwoods Boardwalk. Registrations are still being accepted for the Baby Parade at www.facebook.com/wildwoodsbabyparade.
