To the Editor:
The residents of Woodbine have been informed that our branch of the Cape May County Library will be closed on Saturdays. The reason seems to be that more staff is needed in the shore communities. This is understandable, but why should it cause one small library to close. Is it the fact that we are a poor community compared to many of the other municipalities?
Actually, this is a bigger reason to not close us on Saturdays. Many people work all week and Saturday is the only day they have to use the computers and copying machine. There has to be staff available in some of the other larger libraries. We’re not sure if the freeholders are aware of this.
