Support for Public Safety Building

By Roy

To the Editor:
I read with interest the presentation made before the Lower Township Council Meeting, by Emergency Management Director Martin Pagliughi, who outlined the prospect of renovating the current Lower Township Public Safety Building, located within the Cape May County Airport Complex.
To me it all makes sense, and I commend Councilmen Conrad, Simonson and Perry, for having the insight to entertain such a proposal as outlined by Mr. Pagliughi. The cost savings to the township taxpayer would be significant in that county tax dollars would be added to bring this concept to reality.
Change is in the air and it is only a matter of time before the county goes to central dispatch. What a wonderful opportunity to bring this facility to fruition and create such a facility that would house state of the art communications, police and fire rescue, and other essential personnel offices all under one roof.
I would encourage residents and taxpayers alike to support this project and be receptive to the savings being offered.
