To the Editor:
On July 3, 1911, the then governor of N.J. Woodrow Wilson dedicated the road into Stone Harbor. Since he became president, here are some of the things Wilson is noted for:
– The only person from N.J. to obtain the presidency
– The first president with a college education
– Led the country in the First World War (1917-1918)
– Had a proclamation to establish Mother’s Day and Income Tax (1914)
– Women won the right to vote (1920)
– Led the League of Nations, which later became the United Nations
I think that Wilson is more than worthy to have the road into Stone Harbor dedicated in his name.
