When her children grew older, she went back to work as a classroom aide at Buckingham Elementary School in the Central Bucks Area School District and then as a secretary at Stout Brothers Fabrics, Colmar Pennsylvania. Upon Chuck's retirement Lynn and Chuck moved to Avalon, New Jersey where they lived for thirty-seven years. Lynn quickly became involved in numerous organizations in Avalon. Lynn was a member of St. Brendan the Navigator Parish, the Avalon Yacht Club, and a regular volunteer in the Thrift Shop at the former Burdette Tomlin Memorial Hospital. Lynn was an active member of the Avalon Garden Club serving several years as president and then continued working on many committees. Lynn was instrumental in spear heading many Garden Club beautification projects throughout the borough of Avalon and helped to coordinate their annual flower sale. When her grand-children were young Lynn was a "volunteer grandmom" with the Avalon Players, a summer theatre group in Avalon. Lynn also worked diligently alongside her husband in numerous philanthropic endeavors including The Helen L. Diller Home for Blind Children and the Avalon Lions Club. Lynn was preceded in death by her parents Genevieve and Stanley Diana and her husband Chuck. She is survived by her four children: Diana Covington Kile and her husband Gregory of Allentown, Pennsylvania, Deborah Covington White of Conshohocken, Pennsylvania, Charles Covington and his wife Katherine of Cherry Hill New Jersey, and Craig Covington and his wife Mollie of Doylestown, Pennsylvania.
