1 Charged with Stabbing Cape May Man in Atlantic City

ATLANTIC CITY – The Atlantic City Police Department arrested an Atlantic City man for allegedly stabbing a Cape May man, Aug. 16.

The Atlantic City police arrested Aaron Mincey, 32, Aug. 22, and charged him with the stabbing that occurred in the 2500 block of Pacific Avenue six days prior. The victim, who was described as a 29-year-old man from Cape May, was transported to AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center, City Campus, with serious injuries.

According to a press release issued by Atlantic City police, Officer Anthony Abrams received information regarding Mincey being in the area of the 3300 block of the Boardwalk. After receiving the information on the location of Mincey, Officer James Eckert located and arrested him.

Police said Mincey was found in possession of a knife, as well as 61 bags of heroin and cocaine. Following an investigation by Detective Mark Flanigan, Mincey was charged with aggravated assault, two counts of unlawful possession of a weapon, possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose, two counts of a certain person not to possess a weapon, and two counts of possession of CDS (controlled dangerous substance).

Mincey was remanded to the Atlantic County Justice Facility.
