NORTH WILDWOOD – Fox TV news traveling co-host Steve Doocy, star of “Fox and Friends,” was at the Vegas Diner on Friday, Oct. 10, airing a live episode of “Breakfast With Friends.”

Two days before arriving in North Wildwood, Doocy said, he was in Jackson Hole, Wyoming, shooting a breakfast segment. After co-hosting “Fox and Friends” for 27 years, Doocy, 69, is now working three days per week, with about half of his segments pertaining to American politics and the other half on American culture.

“I was discussing the shutdown of the federal government,” he said, “and one of them blamed the Republicans, one of them blamed the Democrats, and the rest blamed Congress.”

He said he knew the Republicans in Congress would have a hard time getting their bill through.

Doocy interviewed Rep. Jeff Van Drew (R-2), who predicted that Jack Ciattarelli, who would appear in North Wildwood later in the day, would be the next governor.

“He has much more momentum, now,” Van Drew said. “He is better prepared and is doing more to rally the troops.”

Van Drew said he was glad to see Doocy and his program come to North Wildwood, saying whenever South Jersey gets attention from a national news outlet it’s “a real positive.”
