Cape May

As per the story in The Herald on the battered coastline after the remnants of the passing hurricane that was well offshore. My question. What happens to our area when we get a direct hit from a hurricane? We dodged a major bullet when hurricane Sandy passed to our north in October 2012. Some towns still haven't recovered 100% from that one. Our area is overbuilt and floods easily. This passing storm proved it. Try as we may, the ocean will take back any barriers we put in place and the photo in the article proves it. Eventually, we will pay the price for our concrete paradise.
